School Reopening.
Happy New Year to all. We are looking forward to a prosperous 2022
Parents and Guardians.
Since the Coronavirus shutdown in March of 2020, Tutu Church of God Academy has made the best of a bad situation by extending our classrooms virtually. An evaluation of the outcome has revealed to us that this has weaken the structure and integrity of the component of the curriculum which guaranties students’ mastery based learning. In addition, in an effort to meet the demands caused by the pandemic, our teachers have been expected to perform at a level that is unsustainable. For those two very important reasons we are informing Parents and Guardians to get ready for a phasing out of the Virtual Classroom. The Governor of the Virgin Islands has announced that he is on a path to reopen school fully in-person, barring a significant increase in Coronavirus related hospitalization and deaths. He encourages all parents to have their children vaccinated.
So, when school reopens on January 7th, 2022 we will be conferencing with our parents whose children are online in order to work with them for that eventual transition.
Have a blessed New Year. Please stay safe.
